Her professional career took her in other directions,however in retirement she has concentrated on making up for lost tie with numerous archived works and in progress pieces. Alicia is primarily a self taught and self representing artist. She focuses in the mediums of Monotype ( printmaking) , soft Pastel and oil. Her expressive use of color and painting strokes gives much depth and life to her works in landscape, coastal studies and animal subjects. Alicia has several solo exhibitions yearly. She also can be found on occasion, instructing local classes focusing on specific subjects or methods accomplished in pastel. She is an award winning artist whose works have earned her placements in both local and National competitions. Several local businesses carry reproductive art work and greeting cards including: Hannah Grimes Marketplace and Toadstool Bookshop.
